Forced discovery only works up to a point on the svga-deprived pc.  It
actually doesn't find anything wrong or missing in the process.  Yet, the
driver's status panel reports "driver missing or not functioning
properly".

Anyway, I shall see if the DELL-supplied video driver.EXE files will make a
difference when I get another chance to visit the remote pc in a couple of
days.
