Hello August, orig.message to echo WIN95 on 16 Apr 12 19:36:31 AA>>> Therefore, I configure Router-2 with IP address SD>> 192.168.10.1. I use the AA> WAN port of Router-2 and connect SD>> it to any free port of Router-1. I AA> configure Router-2 with SD>> WAN IP 192.168.1.3 (the same WAN IP that Router-1 AA> uses). SD>> I leave DHCP enabled. SD>> If you configure two routers with same IP 192.168.1.3 you will SD>> get the IP address conflict. AA> 192.168.3.1 is the WAN IP that points to the modem. Don't both routers AA> have to have that as well as the same gateway IP? It is very hard to understand your description of schema. You mean WAN IP = default gateway? For each interface of router you should specify its IP address and mask. But default gateway is not parameter of interfaces (this wrong conception is brought with Windows networking) but it is parameter of IP stack (it is the record in routing table) so must be specified for router globally. Each VLAN interface must be considered as separate, but it is not needed for bridged interfaces (for IP they are look as one bridge interface for example br-lan).
