The Apple upgrades are for OS X 10.6 or later - earlier versions are being
hung out to dry; though the Terminal commands for both checking for the
infection and removing it (if found) may work... Best I can recommend for
earlier Mac OS versions is to turn off Java entirely - there's a Java
Utility in the /Applications/Utilities folder that can do that.
