It's not that global warming is a myth so much as it is a normal chain of
events in the world, what they find as myth [the conservatives as you put
it] is the "human caused" part of the alarmist argument. I have
no problem with continued research into the environment in general, but I
object to the funding of those that are wont only sink big bucks into a
tilted mind-set simply to bolster their past arguments rather than continue
the exploration with a clean slate.
