Edit: I didn't mean that to come out that way, what I mean to say is that
there is an overwhelming abundance of hand-shaking and back-patting going
down in the vast majority of the scientific community, the problem is the
"human caused global warming we must run for the hill
immediately" position is political science, not environmental science.
Luckily there are enough, though still in the minorty, real scientists that
have gotten the word out without being awarded cement overcoats for their
trouble, but they sure have to fight the socks being stuffed in their
mouths with great resolve.
