| subject: | 440 rig? |
Hello, All. (This message is for the radio operators in here. Sorry if too OT but there's more hams in here than other places in Fidonet . . .) 440 mHz (70cm) is heating up in our area. Since 2 meter repeater space is gone, our local university ham club is putting up a 440 repeater and in SKYWARN we use a 440 repeater located about an hour away to send "backchannel" data to our local NWS office when we've been activated. I have been trying to find a 440 mhz rig with no luck around here. I've got a good (but ancient; it's a Azden PCS-5000) 2 meter mobile rig but need a 440 mHz rig. If any of you have one you don't want or want to sell, let me know. You can email me at sean at my callsign dot info. 73 DE KD5COL, Sean ...
