| Ok, I found a simple 2 line example to play a wav .vbPlaysound at
| http://pages.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/~saul/vb_examples/ It works as a stand
alone
| program but when I drop the code into my program. I get variable not
| defined.With Snd_Async highlighted. I did put the Snap.wav in the same
| folder as my project.
|
|
| Private Sub Command10_Click()
|
| sndPlaySound App.Path & "\snap.wav", SND_ASYNC
| End Sub
|
|
| 'this is in the Module1
| Public Declare Function sndPlaySound Lib "winmm.dll" Alias
"sndPlaySoundA"
| (ByVal lpszSoundName As String, ByVal uFlags As Long) As Long
|
| thanks in advance

As with many API calls, you need to add the constant definition:
Const SND_ASYNC = &H1
If you are going to mess around with API's, which can be great fun, you
should check out the API Guide:
