Matsushita is the parent of Panasonic.  However, going to
www.panasonic.com brings the interesting news that Panasonic is now a
name onto themselves, as opposed to being a sub of Matsushita.  Look
for the Panasonic name to be more obvious in the future.  And I can't
say anything bad about their shockwave cd players either. :)
