Well, it's getting the information somewhere, and if *all* files have been
removed from *all* accessible drives, then the only other place I know where
such information might be is in os2.ini (and possibly os2sys.ini if GI does
not follow the conventions for "well-behaved" apps).
I emphasize *all* accessible drives because some apps put what are essentially
their own ini files in a system directory on the boot drive; DeScribe and
GSview are two examples -- I'm sure there are others.
