You were right, I found ADC_53 stuff on even my maintenance partition.

I've renamed files everywhere and run two different reliable INI
cleaners. I've gone over INIs line by line with 3 different INI
programs. I found and removed some very old junk, but nothing I could
identify as related to ADC.

The 0.56 installer still insists there is an old GI around. On top of
that 0.56 says 0.56 is already installed, a flatly idiotic notion if
ever I heard one. EVERY attempt has errored out (with the script error
I posted) after installing two files, a .in_ and a .log then asking
later if I wanted to delete them. Of course after every failure to
install it pops up with with the message "Installation Complete!"

I Suspect I know why it won't install. I flatly refuse to put anything
like this on my boot drive. It looks to me like what happens is if a
different directory than default is selected he just has an END in the
branch logic (the END shown in the script error). I can't prove it, but
I think this thing is a piece of s___.

Thanks
