It is really super hard for me to go through my list. I have not really
looked at them as of yet. I just started downloading whatever looked
interesting. We have 3 gigs available to download to so I can d/l to
my hearts content. Most of what is on the kids computer are store
bought programs someone had no use for anymore. I have the usual
shareware stuff like Math Rescue, Word Rescue and Phonics program.
Most shareware are crippled so I can't really help ya there either.
I found alot of Dos ones at: http://www.gu.edu.au/aeres/edsw/dossoft.htm
What I am doing is just searching for educational files in every search
engine there is. Most of them I forgot to put in favorite places.
I am new to this so its still pretty hard for me to get around.
What Web browser do you use? Any way I will see what I can do, but it
will take awhile. If you would like you can e-mail me :
 rfinan@voyager.net
This is under my husband, but we both go in there under that. That way
I can get your e-mail address and send ya mail as I find it on line.
I hear 123Talk and ABCTalk are suppose to be really good. I can't remember
if it is dos or windoze though. We are hoping to possible start a Web
page ourselves with educational software to d/l, but everything takes
time so I don't know when that will be.
My kids are almost 9 and 12 so most of the stuff I have is older, although
they do like some of the younger stuff. About where is he at academically?
At this site I found a program for phonics that has (I believe) 5 or 8 zip
files. Phonics would be your best bet for his age. Also if he can
arcaic math games are good too. I also saw some electronic reading programs
 there also.
