Hi Franklin,

You obviously haven't used Dani's *DISKINFO.EXE*, in any 
DANIS506rxxx.ZIP [been there forever!] to write-protect track0 of your 
hard-disks to obviate the problem! Read the following from danis506.doc ::

         Later versions of FDISK and LVM tend to overwrite bootmanagers
    other than
         OS/2 BootManager on every write operation to the partition/LVM
    tables.
         In such cases it might be appropriate to write protect track
    zero of the
         boot drive (which contains the bootmanager code). This is
    possible either
         at bootup using the unit option /A:x /U:y /PROT0 ("PROT zero"),
    or later
         by means of the DiskInfo utility:

           DiskInfo  p 1    enable write protection on 
           DiskInfo  p 0    disable write protection on 

         "DiskInfo ?" shows all options in detail.

That should make it easier for a lot of people - who automatically don't 
read the docs for later editions of e.g. utilities that they've been 
using for years - as they just replace e.g. their current danis506.add 
in \os2\boot with the new version! :-P
