Let`s get one thing straight! Just because a pitcher has more wins, it 
doesn`t generally mean he`ll win the Cy young. Here`s an example:
when Bob Gibson  won thagainst Juan Marichal in the 50`s or 60`s(I forget the 
exact year), Gibson had 22 wins and Marichal 26 wins, but
Gibson`s microscopic ERA was 1.12(a record) and Marichal 2.30.This means 
Pedro Martinez despite his 16 wins has a pretty good shot!.
