subject: Where I`ve Been

Hi, Sondra,
I sort of fell off the screen late last summer without warning,
explanation, or apology. I kept thinking 'well, I'll get around to
answering those messages in a few days', and those few days have turned
into many months.
It seems to have been a case of if it wasn't one thing, it was half a
dozen other things. In late September I had a combined asthma attack and
case of bronchitis that really drained me. I was coming home from work
and falling asleep in my chair every evening, and I had several relapses.
Then, I got home from a holiday celebration December 20 and found a note
on the door from my landlord telling me to move by the end of January.
It was totally unexpected. This is not a good time of the year to move
in this part of the US. There aren't that many apartments advertised,
and those landlords who do advertise don't have much response.
Of course, I don't really want to move, anyway. I've sure had more than
my fair share of incentives to move the past few years, and if I'd had
any inclination to move, I would have done so long ago, but.... At
least, another apartment should be healthier for me.
I've found another apartment, and it will take several months to move and
get settled in, especially since I slipped and fell on the ice when I was
going out to get the apartment ads, and I'm quite bruised and sore in a
number of places.
Once things settle back down in my life, I'm hoping to be a little more
active than I've been for a number of months now. I did want to let you
and the other people on the echo know that my absence is temporary, and
not permanent.
I hope things have been going well for you in my absence and I send my
very best wishes to all for a Happy New Year.
Take care,
Robin
