My motherboard manual says I can have 6 devices 4 pata 2 sata in
enhanced mode, only on new OS.
For older OSs that don't support switch to native mode (DOS, Win2K,
Win98/ME...) should set SATA and PATA to Compatible Mode, Maximum 4 ATA
devices, Combine mode and non-combine mode.

I have mine set compatible, 80 gig drive with ECS 1.1 and win98 on it,
DVD as slave on IDE0, SATA 160gig HD as secondary master. Maybe for fun
and experimentation, I should attempt to install ECS again on the sata
drive
