I think that the military action we've already taken in Afghanistan and
Iraq (especially Iraq) greatly increases the chance that the threat of
military force in other areas will be taken very seriously, thus lessen the
likelihood that it'll be necessary to use it in effecting positive change
in removing other regimes, but I doubt that it will work for No. Korea
directly.

I'm optimistic, guardedly so, that our ongoing resolve will eventually
influence China to get very tired of Kim Jong il and take him out. I think
there's actually a good chance they'll do it, but my reservations are
whether the result would be any better if they did it instead of us. He's
got to go though, and not in the too distant future.
