RP>Yes, their purpose is to discredit Starr, but if he gets Jordan, it'll
RP>be in courts of law, first by indictment by grand jury, then conviction
RP>by petit jury, and what they say about Starr won't matter in that. As
RP>for what he comes up with on Dufus, all that goes to the House Judiciar
RP>Committee which then decides whether the evidence stands up or not, and
RP>which takes over with its own attorneys. Again, at that point, what
RP>they say about Starr won't really matter - it'll be the facts, the
RP>polls, and Republican backbone that decides.
With the latest revelation that Jordan has said he's not going to go down
for Bill, in so many words, it is becoming clear to me what Starr's tactics
are. He's going to nail "Poor Monica" and "Good 'ole Vernon" and then use
them to leverage against El Presidente. If you remember, Alan Ginsburg has
said that "Poor Monica" won't fall on her sword. With Jordan saying pretty
much the same thing, it would be interesting if both of them point the
finger of blame squarely where it should be, at the feet of El Presidente.
JS>Yes, the press knows that the leaks aren't coming from Starr. Especi
JS>those who have gotten the information from the leakers. However, fir
JS>foremost, they're FOB's and as such won't want to see the great mess
JS>toppled from power.
RP>There are many who still are that way, but a large number of them have
RP>already jumped off that wagon. All kinds of liberal media types are
RP>completely disgusted with him because of what he's done and continues t
RP>do in the way of discrediting liberalism. Sure, many still say the
RP>facts aren't yet known, but they believe he's guilty, and not a few of
RP>them are saying daily that the charge of leaks from Starr is totally
RP>without support and point to the Whine House and its associates as the
RP>sources. Also, many now look on what the Whine House is doing as being
RP>obstruction of justice.
RP>Remember, John, we're only at the beginning of liberal disillusionment
RP>with Herr Slickster. I'm seeing examples everyday of that
RP>disillusionment growing, and once it reaches critical mass, which I
RP>think it will before too much longer, the pack will cut the Whine House
RP>no slack whatever. Just look at what Time did with that report it put
RP>out on what Clinton and Jordan talk about - that NEVER would've happene
RP>as recently as a few weeks ago. They're very close now to seeing to it
RP>that Clinton's poll numbers go into the cellar.
RP>Consider this from Chris Matthews, Washington Bureau Chief for the San
RP>Francisco Examiner:
RP> "We, 49% of us at least, bought this box of cereal called Bill
RP> Clinton. Inside some of us expected to find, perhaps, one of those
RP> little plastic toys slipped in between the box and the wax paper.
RP> Instead, we opened the box one winter day this year to find not a
RP> harmless novelty item, but a spider, an eight-legged hairy bug
RP> crawling in what we expected to be a hearty January breakfast. We no
RP> have to live with it, including those of us who were so hungry for
RP> leadership in this aging century that we heard it and discounted bac
RP> when we had the choice . . . that tell-tale scratching in the box."
JS>Furthermore, such a scandal could be disasterous for
JS>Gore in 2000 since he's involved with this administration.
JS>So the mantra of "preserve the party and Gore at all costs" will be
JS>up by them.
RP>Gore is far less important for them to preserve than the party and
RP>liberalism itself is. If that house of cards that is the administratio
RP>comes apart, they'll sacrifice a tainted Gore in a heartbeat to save th
RP>party and their ideals.
We can only hope that this will come to pass. Apparently with the
indictment of one of the key players in the Buddha Monk affair will
perhaps shake some more critical testimony not only against El Presidente,
but also against El Segundo as well.
For those of you who wonder why I've taken to referring to Clinton as "El
Presidente", it's because he epitomizes what a bannana administration this
is. Corrupt as any South American junta is or was. Since Gore is the second
in command, at least theoretically, I've decided he should be called "El
Segundo" or "The Second".
Also, Jim Guy Tucker has indicated he's ready to cooperate with Ken Starr
as well. Guess FOBs are starting to turn on him and might turn out to get
the SOB. If only Susan McDougal would talk, it would be nice.
And now for my theory on her. Whenever she's spoken out against Starr it's
ALWAYS been in support of El Presidente. NEVER has she said any comforting
and supporting words for "La Primera Mujer" (that's Spanish lingo for The
First Lady or literally First Woman). Ever wonder why that is? Could it be
that she has very incriminating testimony that would put La Primera Mujer
in great jeopardy? After all, she's always said publicly that El
Presidente has never done anything wrong. So what's the big deal about
going in front of a Grand Jury and repeating that? None. But if Starr's
minions asked her about La Primera Mujer, that might be a totally different
matter entirely.
That could be the reason why she's not talking. After all, it's always been
Hillary that's been in the middle of all these wheelin' and dealin' antics.
Not Bill. Vince Foster came from Rose Law Firm. Web Hubbell, ditto. Maggie
Williams came from Children's Defense Fund. Get the picture?
