  Ok it's my fault I couldn't leave well enough alone.  I actually began to
get excited again about OS/2 from seeing it really blaze along on my new
system (even though I have yet to find any accellerated video drivers for
nVidia 6600 ...afaik not even SNAP supports this yet or wireless drivers
either) In fact I was really rather impressed that only updated IBM1S506 or
Danis506 seemed to be required to get install moving.  However I never
completed an install since I was using a ghosted copy.  After several
maintenance installs though to overcome boot problems during tweaking I got
upset with all the "nowhere" and "Previous Desktop"
entries and excited about a fresh install.  Here's my problem....

   OK the CD install begins and because of "Set CopyFromFloppy=1"
it asks for the 3 diskettes and copies those nicely and finally asks that
one remove the diskette and boot from hard drive for the first time to
continue with the remaining install segments.  I am using AirBoot, largely
because of it's ability to change 0F/05 on-the-fly to suit booted OS, but
regardless right after the white square "OS2" appears in the
upper left corner of the black screen the system stops abd says:

   "The system cannot load the startup file system.  The information
for the startup file system is incorrect.  Reinsttall the system.  The
system is stopped.  Correct the preceding error and restart the
system"

   At this time the only mods to the install diskettes is renaming VCU.exe
to VCU.exe.old so it won't load, which it doesn't.  LVM succeeds in
installing BootManager and setting the proper volume
"installable" (obviously) and I have no idea what might be the
matter unless it might be Airboot.  I have even tried this on more than one
system and get the same error.  Please help.  I'd really like to get a
clean install on this new box.
