Here's an example for you, the dcom worm (msblast) pinged, the pings
created an arp flood that knocked out dialup boxes similar to the one Gene
uses to get on the net. So one person in Gene's area who gets infected
could have prevented Gene from dialing into the net or caused him to get
disconnected repeatedly.
