See, there's where we disagree. I respect Krugman's opinion, while not
slavishly devoted to it; he presents a reasoned argument in a calm manner
(and I second what Gene said). I haven't read the book he reviewed, nor am
I likely to, seeing what the other guy thinks of it (I strike an average
and judge it not worth my time), but that doesn't mean that there isn't
valid points in it.

Alterman, on the other hand, I don't give so much credit to; he can be
amusing, with good points (I liked his book, "What Liberal
Media?") but he tends to be what I call over-the-top, in other words
less balanced, less reasoned, at times. Plus he tends to just post links
rather than his take on same; I like to see both. I do like that
contributor to his blog that
I quoted, Charlie, though: he's pretty amusing.

If you want the rest of the list: Tom Tomorrow, the This Modern World
cartoonist and blogger (thismodernworld.com) has an interesting point of
view and is funny, to boot; and Josh Marshall (talkingpointsmemo.com) I
have posted about before as being very reliable, very even-keeled, and
thoroughly documenting his points with links.
