RJ>Another message I saw elsewhere a little while ago referred to
RJ>bio/chem/whatever cannon fodder, and if that turns out to
RJ>be the case this is going to be very, very bad when it
RJ>does go down, and in the aftermath. Even if that stuff
RJ>doesn't end up global (and I have my doubts about that,
RJ>there's no way I'm going to be optimistic, just guardedly
RJ>hopeful), those who do get over there and get nailed by it
RJ>first hand are going to be in a world of hurt. And those
RJ>who survive it, either directly or as family of those who
RJ>don't, are not going to take this the same way as their
RJ>counterparts for other wars in earlier times, people are
RJ>*way* too cynical these days to put up with it.
RJ>Of course, mr bill is probably gonna be out of office by
RJ>the time that all goes down. I'll bet he even ends up out
RJ>of the country, too. Or at least he will if he's smart.
RJ>Legal hassles strike me as the least of his worries in that
RJ>scenario...
El Presidente doesn't give diddly when it comes to the U.S. Military.
They're to be used and abused according to his philosophy. We now have
military personnel working in a meals on wheels program in Bosnia.
It's the same idiotic and self centered mentality that I've seen as a cop
from some members of the public. You know the philosophy: "You're getting
PAID to be shot at and / or killed." "It's your job." IOW, "I certainly
wouldn't be willing to do it but since you are willing then you accept ALL
of the risks I expect you to take on my behalf even if they're unreasonable
and suicidal."
