SP> ...It seems hops is an exhuberant grower, and hers is becoming a
st.
I have a difficult time believing it would become a pest here, but I could be
wrong, so I'll
let you know, just as soon as I can get some started, here in Oklahoma. I
don't know of
anyone who has ever tried it here, (it might be because they don't want to
experience the frightening irradication *again*! :)
SP> And I consider comfrey just about as bad.
I can tell you this isn't the case in Oklahoma. I only know of a few places
it grows, and
I haven't heard *anyone* complain about it's invasiveness... I have to get
some of this,
as well! My invitation to have some starts left with the lady that was going
to make sure
I got some :)
SP> ... even a leaf portion landing on damp soil can sprout.
Well, this has got to be the reason that it doesn't become a problem, here,
in Oklahoma... we don't have much "damp soil"! Well, it doesn't stay
"damp" for very long, at least...
cheers,
wls
