The fact is Geo and others do not face devastating issues. They may believe
or even prefer to believe they do, but they do not. I believe what we are
seeing here is a touch of paranoia along with a grossly exaggerated view of
what could happen and its consequences.

On the other hand, if the whole internet were to disappear tomorrow it
would mean little to me. I would just go back to what I was doing long
before the internet became part of my life. In effect, Geo needs it. He has
built his life around it. To me, not only the internet but computers in
general are nothing more than conveniences - when they are not an
annoyance.
