Carol, years ago I helped two gentlemen, Sonny Joiner and Stephen Maloy
get started with the first K12Net nodes in Alabama. K12Net nodes
are all FidoNet nodes in the U.S. as a rule. ...I haven't been in
contact with them or anyone else from K12Net for some time now
so I really don't know -- but ask your sysop if he can look up
the node numbers for you in Selma and ask if you can route them
NETMAIL. He should be happy to help you out.
Do you have internet access?? The CSU system had loads of scolarship
info. Birmington?? ...have a state library handy?? They usually
have very well equipped grants writing rooms (foundation lists and
track recoords, etc.) You'd probably get scads of help from any
librarian worth their salt down there.
Anyway, Sonny & Stephen Maloy are teachers and
should be able to help you out.
Good luck!
