Any one know of a program that will retrieve data from a website with no keystroking involved? What I am looking at doing is taking some basic information from a site, and reorganizing that information to a spreadsheet style format. The database has over 1,000,000 entries. So manual retrieval is out of the question. The problem is, records are not truly sequential. so it may skip 5 or 6 in between 2 valid entries. http://www.example.com/query.asp?searchtype=ANY&query_type=queryCarrierSnaps hot&query_param=USDOT&query_string=10293 This is a sample of the web page identifier. The only item that needs to be changed is the last number. The valid entries all contain a stock block format for the information. All I want out of it is just a few bare basic items. If there is such a program available, let me know please. --- þ RIMEGate(tm)/RGXPost V1.14 at BBSWORLD * Info{at}bbsworld.com --- * RIMEGate(tm)V10.2áÿ* RelayNet(tm) NNTP Gateway * MoonDog BBS * RgateImp.MoonDog.BBS at 12/6/04 10:20:42 PM* Origin: MoonDog BBS, Brooklyn,NY, 718 692-2498, 1:278/230 (1:278/230) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 278/230 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
