Hello Mark -

WC>>>>> F-prot doesn't appear supported anymore last update
WC>>>>> being over a year ago.

GE>>>>> The free DOS version? Do you mean the .exe, or the .def
GE>>>>> files? I download new defs every week.

WC>>>> I'm hitting the F-secure web site, download, free tools
WC>>>> and the file dates of the def's there are over a year
WC>>>> old.

ml>>> AIR, i had to resort to FTP to the =original= frisk site
ml>>> and nose about... seems they're not updating the web
ml>>> stuff for the DOS version... been that way for years...

CA>> I wasn't aware of the problem. Do you have a URL for this
CA>> 'original' FTP site?

ml> its not like it was several years ago before i stopped
ml> using it... i was thinking it was something like
ml> frisk.com.au or some such... the only thing i can find now
ml> is here...

ml> ftp://ftp.f-prot.com/pub/dos/fp-312d.zip
ml> ftp://ftp.f-prot.com/pub/fp-def.zip

ml> both are dated within the last few days...

ml> FWIW: i never was able to get the same things from the
ml> command.com site as i could the old frisk site...

ml> you might also want to check out this page...

ml> http://www.claymania.com/f-prot.html

Thanks Mark, I will check these later while online.

I went to the F-Prot webpages using the link from my website
and downloaded the newest .def files for DOS yesterday dated
02-25-03? Not sure why Wayne couldn't find them?
