 JS> Regards,

I'm not aware of any cases where there was an admission of telephone lines
being tapped in the investigation of a bulletin board system or of a
Fidonet node. However, if one looks at the decision in U.S.A. v. LaMacchia
(U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, Dec. 28, 1994), one cannot
help but conclude that LaMacchia's use of the MIT computer system was being
observed. My reading of the Steve Jackson Games file leads me to conclude
that communications to and from the Illuminati bulletin board were being
intercepted.

Take care,
