Hi Nancy,
NB> moment... At least we've got NB>> our power back, and heat.... :)
RH> Helps to have the power & heat.....I've been watching the news reports
RH> about the storms coming in. We had a dusting of snow on Sunday and
RH> rain earlier today but not anything like what's predicted for the
RH> northeast. We're supposed to have days in the 40s/low 50s and a few
RH> more nights in the mid/low 20s this week--January weather in March!
NB> And we had March weather in February.... go figure... I'm glad we
NB> kept power and heat during that major snowstorm... we weren't going
We have had a few cooler (actually, normal) days but Tuesday had a high
of 82. A lot of farmers have lost significant crops because we had a
couple of nights below freezing this week. Strawberries, blueberries and
peaches have been hit hard.
NB> before I went out for my appointment.... Since then we've had light
NB> dustings of snow, but nothing major.... and temps have been all over
NB> the place.... got up to 50 yesterday, today it's highs in the 30s, I
NB> think, and lows tonight in the teens.... and then climbing back for
NB> the
NB> weekend....
If you don't like the weather...........................
NB> NB>> to push the issue.... I think mushy vegetables wouldn't have
NB> NB>> been a problem for me that night.... I was ok even with the
NB> NB>> slice of cucumber... :)
RH> Sounds like you did Ok. I had all 4 teeth taken at once, they had to
RH> be cut out. It was done in early December, took me until late January
RH> to be able to eat everything without hurting. No Fu's in the area at
RH> the time.
NB> Ouch... your experience was definitely worse than mine.... Admittedly,
NB> I think I did get off pretty easy... I had friends here expecting me
NB> to
NB> still need soft comforting foods by the end of the week... :) My
NB> friend Deb suggested we go out for congee on Friday... which we did,
NB> as I quite like congee at any time, and it's not all that available...
NB> But she was thinking in terms of my not being up to anything
NB> chewier... (G) We had the congee, and then also shared some other
NB> fare at the White Swans
NB> Asian Caffe.... :)
Good thing that your dental work went well--you were able to enjoy the
congee and extras. As I recall, it took me some days before I felt like
eating much, even soft things. Harder foods took even longer.
NB> RH>> When you know good, you tend to stick with it. Especially food.
NB> (G) NB>> But of course... ;)
RH> But, it's also fun to try new places from time to time. I was
RH> debating getting the beef bulgogi at the Korean place the other
RH> day but went with another, tho less often ordered, spicy pork
RH> instead. It was good. (G)
NB> Yup, sometimes one goes with the favorite, sometimes one tries
NB> something new on the menu... or a less-often picked choice.... One can
NB> get quite
NB> the long list of favorites that way, though... especially at favorite
NB> places... ;)
The hard part of that is deciding which favorite to have. (G)

Catch you later,
