Hello again listers,
You folks don't know what crowds are until you attend a function like the
one we went to earlier this month. The meetings were held in the Summette
and we filled the place to capacity. During the kand we filled the place
to capacity. Like during our general sessions we were required to vacate
the building during the three-hour break on Saturday AFternoon. We all
made our way to the Rainasance Hotel next door, and the two buffette
dinners were sold out before we got there. WE ended up eating in the food
court, and one by one the various vendors closed down their stands as they
sold out of food. WE made due with a cheese pizza that evening but at
least it was something. But alass we weren't there to feed our faces. WE
can do that here at home just fine. wE were there to build and strengthen
our belief in what we wanted out of our businesses, and to know that we
can do what ever we set out to to, and that no one can stop us.
Who is to say that in another ten years we could hve crowds this big at
our National Conventions. WE did just fine, and even my guide dog Tim
found working those crowds nothing more than child's play. This is the
kind of thing we can look forward to in the future as more and more of us
become successfull at what ever job, or business we decide to go in to.
WE shouldn't llet such things as large crowds, and marathon meeting
sessions determine whare we end up in life.TAke care and have a good
weekend.
