BTW what ship (other than a nuke) could better a tanker/RFA wrt
"patrol persistence"? So long as you can use the oil in the tanks
to power your own engines, you're off & running for......months esp if
potering along at 10 knots in a patrol area (e.g. the Caribbean or the Gulf
of Oman etc.
