You know there is a new tarball nightly? I run wget from a script
that only grabs it if it's newer than what I have now. I think the
version number only changes if Michiel feels he's done what he set
out to do. I run the following script from the directory that contains
mbsebbs-cvs.tar.bz2

=== begin /opt/mbse/bin/getcvs ===

wget -N http://www.mbse.dds.nl/mbse/mbsebbs/download/mbsebbs-cvs.tar.bz2

=== end /opt/mbse/bin/getcvs ===

There were some big endian (that's your sparc I think) changes made,
might solve the problem you had with offline packets??
