Even Bush I had better sense. What has Bush II accomplished? He has alienated our principle allies, called down upon himself the contempt of most of the world and has enmeshed himself in a quagmire from which he is now desperate to extricate himself before the November elections knowing that his huge blunder will get him unelected unless he gets out by summer. What will he leave behind in Iraq? With luck, a pro-American puppet government that will eventually be thrown out by the Iraqis themselves and that removal no doubt resulting in still another dictator in Baghdad. We can only hope it won't be an Islamic government under Sharia law. So, what will have been accomplished by Bush II? The most we can hope for is that he will get himself thrown out of the White House in November and other than Nixon, I can think of no president in modern times who will deserve it more. There is no excuse for a creature like Bush in the White House. It will take years to repair the damage he has done, both abroad and domestically. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
