| subject: | [OS2HW] UPSbatteries. |
Hi, The APC upses I have...all different, are able to detect a battery that needs to be replaced. Foolishly I did not mark which batteries were pulls gone back and they all got mixed up together. Yes, I know. A simple voltage meter is inadaquate, because a near full voltage reading may exist, but the battery is still no good. I assume it must be something to do with available ampaerage (watts). Apart from the option of re0inserting them into the appropriate UPS, charging and check the results, how can I seaparate the wheat from the chaff? Will it float or will it sink is NOT a valid test!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks KevinJ. ASUS offers no product servicing or collection points in CANADA.
