And we had March weather in February.... go figure...  I'm glad we kept
power and heat during that major snowstorm... we weren't going anywhere
Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.... when things finally subsided in
the afternoon, Richard started the dig-out...  Got the driveway cleared
and his car dug out by the evening, along with getting up to church to
do some of that shovelling out... left my car to do Thursday morning
before I went out for my appointment....  Since then we've had light
dustings of snow, but nothing major.... and temps have been all over the
place.... got up to 50 yesterday, today it's highs in the 30s, I think,
and lows tonight in the teens.... and then climbing back for the
weekend....

Ouch... your experience was definitely worse than mine.... Admittedly, I
think I did get off pretty easy... I had friends here expecting me to
still need soft comforting foods by the end of the week... :)  My friend
Deb suggested we go out for congee on Friday... which we did, as I quite
like congee at any time, and it's not all that available... But she was
thinking in terms of my not being up to anything chewier... (G)  We had
the congee, and then also shared some other fare at the White Swans
Asian Caffe.... :)

Yup, sometimes one goes with the favorite, sometimes one tries something
new on the menu... or a less-often picked choice.... One can get quite
the long list of favorites that way, though... especially at favorite
places...  ;)
