subject: Did I get them all?

Hi, Paul.

PE> PE> FM> the 1st things. I got files from SA2 through FR0, but
I thought I
PE> would
PE> PE> FM> have got the second week as separate files.

PE> PE> Hmmmm. I'll have to revamp my great new archiver to handle that.

PE> FM> No need to change on my account, I just expected to see SA2, SA3, (I'd
PE> FM> called you a couple of times the day I left), SU0, SU1, ..., FR0, FR1.
PE> FM> Which is what I've had from other BBSs and, I think, you in the past
PE> FM> when I've been away for > 7 days.

PE> FM> What does your "great new archiver" do?

PE> Creates the *.SU0 etc files for Binkley. When are you going to use proper
PE> software? You won't know about all this stuff until you do. You've got
PE> your new HD, so I heard.

Yes, the disk is there now all I need is the time and the inclination.
Like, why do I want/need to "know about all this stuff"? All I want to
do is write and receive messages (and the occasional file) with minimum
effort, and the current setup does that just fine - with a few irregular
hiccups which I agree could be addressed with different software, but is
it worth it?

PE> PE> FM> Do you add onto previous files?

PE> PE> Not currently it would seem.

PE> FM> But you must,

PE> You're right. I've no idea what, if anything, I was thinking when I wrote
PE> that.

PE> FM> if I haven't missed anything! I mean, add on to as yet
PE> FM> uncollected files.

PE> Yeah.

PE> FM> I'm not convinced, Int'l Pascal only had 21 today - mostly local, a
PE> FM> couple of zone 1 and a few zone 2. Maybe everyone's on hols.

PE> The fact that you're getting any zone 1 stuff is great, it means you're
PE> connected internationally. That's one huge hurdle out of the way. I got
PE> connected to my favourite echo again too. BFN. Paul.

Oh? What's that?

Regards, fIM.
