I sent a message to Semware asking for the same.... here is the message and
the response:

Sammy, I have been a (paying/registered) follower of TSE since it was Qedit
for DOS v1.x many years ago. I see how you are developing for Win95/NT and it
appears that there is apparently no hope in site for people like myself,
running a clearly technically superior operating system to obtain a Native
version of TSE PRO.
Please confirm or deny that there is even he remote possibility for Semware
to release a native OS/2 version of TSE pro so that I can patiently wait it
out and purchase said program, or so I can bite the bullet and move on to a
competing product like BOXER that does have a current native OS/2 version
available.
I would sincerely HATE to change my Text editor after all this time, since I
have become QUITE attached at TSE Pro and all of its capabilities, and I am
speaking of the 'lowly' DOS version.
Thank you for your time and consideration...

Bill,
The simple fact is: we would very much like to do an OS/2 version of The
SemWare Editor Professional. However, at this point, we are unable to say
when
we would be able to do this for numerous reasons: (1) there isn't as much
demand for OS/2 products, (2) the sales of our current OS/2 offering have
never
shown us that there is substantial interest in such a product, (3) we have
seen
a lot of interest in our current offerings, and feel that we have to meet our
obligations to our users (the 2.8 release is a point of fact in this area).
Now, all that said, we still want to do an OS/2 release. We feel that there
are some major benefits to porting our application to as many platforms as we
can. We feel that it makes our code stronger / better, and that it does help
our users that are running in multiple environments.
So, we haven't ruled out doing a port ot OS/2, however we cannot commit to an
actual schedule or time table for such a release.
I hope this helps!
