Hi Nancy,
RH> We've been on a yo-yo but hopefully now all the major cold is behind
RH> us. Pollen, especially pine, is out in full force.
NB> One can but hope... ;) Here, forecast is calling for some snow mixed
NB> in with the rain promised for Friday night and into Saturday.... but
NB> temps only into the 30s for lows, at least....
They're saying snow in the NC mountains in the next few days; we will
have a couple of nights down in the mid 30s. Also saw that the north
east is getting some weather--some from the latest system we had, some
coming across the lakes.
NB> NB>> I haven't heard much about that locally... perhaps our false
NB> NB>> spring didn't fool too many of the trees.....
RH> And too, your growing season is behind ours by a few weeks; that makes
RH> a big difference.
NB> Quite true... :)
NB> RH>> Good thing that your dental work went well--you were able to
NB> enjoy the RH>> congee and extras. As I recall, it took me some days
NB> before I felt RH>> like eating much, even soft things. Harder foods
NB> took even longer. NB>> But then your teeth were pulled... my one
NB> tooth only got a root
NB> NB>> canal...... ;)
RH> They were actually cut out as they were all below the gum line. There
RH> was no way they were going to come thru as they were all in sideways.
RH> Basic soup (and things like that) were the easiest to eat for a while.
NB> Ouch.... I guess so...!
The oral surgeon that did the job figured it was best to do it all at
once. Our insurance covered all but his fee which he let us budget
payback over a year, no interest. It also didn't cover the soups and
other soft foods I survived on for a while until the mouth had healed
but, didn't expect that coverage either.
NB> though... NB>>> especially at favorite places... ;)
NB> RH>> The hard part of that is deciding which favorite to have. (G)
NB> NB>> Exactly... :)
RH> And one of each is detrimental not only to the wallet, but also the
RH> waistline.
NB> Unless you are sharing it with a large group, and then each gets just
NB> a taste of each... ;) Probably couldn't eat them all by yourselves
NB> in
NB> one sitting after all... ;)
Order several dishes and still probably have leftovers for people to
take home. When we get something from the local Chinese place, it is
enough for 2 meals for the 2 of us. The Chinese place in Wyoming was
like that too--with 2 egg rolls, it averages about $16. to $18. so we
spend $4. to $4.50 per meal--not bad, overall.

Catch you later,
Ruth
