(So far) I have only been in two accidents. One
was my fault and the other was not.

 My fault:

25 years ago I was turning right from a parking lot
onto a busy street. I saw the van in front of me had
no cars in front of him and had a green light.

I assumed that he had pulled away from the light as
I looked to my left for other traffic. He didn't go
and I broke my passenger side headlamp on the end of
his bumper.

I asked him why he never left when the light was
green. He said he didn't know why.

Ever since then I don't assume, I make sure (as I
SHOULD have done).

 Not my fault:

16 years ago I stopped for a yellow light. The
woman behind me didn't.

She hit me just after the light had turned red, and
knocked me into the intersection. This broke the back
of my seat making me almost lying down as I sped
forward.

Luckily, I was able to sharply steer the car around
the corner and coast into a parking lot.

Ever since then I watch my mirrors extremely
carefully before deciding to stop on a yellow light.

 TTYL.

 Robert
