  Funny that I just recently quoted that page as disparaging of LVM and
neglected the wealth of basic info deeper in.  It does explain the all too
subtle difference between "startable" and "bootable"
and "installable though not exact in what it actually does at least
makes sense as to how and when it's needed.  Unfortunately it doesn't help
me a bit since there is no clue there as to why I have this problem.  I
have even enabled VCU just to see what changes to no avail.  Given floppies
that work and set copyfromfloppy=1 it is beyond simple logic to determine
why I can't get past first hdd boot and finish installation.  Hope someone
has experience with this and can help.
