Hi,

Did you select the Scitech video driver, and are the video cards you
mentioned on Scitech's compatibility list.

Did you use Dani's enhanced driver? You probably should.

If the above are okay, then do a stripped down easy install.

Don't choose, any audio, or scsi, or networking, or USB components to be
incorporated in the install.

If you finally get a bootable ECS, then you can add the above one at a
time, to the installed ECS.

You have my sympathy, I shared your ASUS grief for quite awhile too.

Good Luck

I'm about ready to kill my new computer. I have been trying to
install eCOM 1.2 on this machine for two months. It is an ASUS
k8s-MX, it has 1gig of memory, a 160 gig ide, a 80 gig ide, a 44 gig
scsi, a cd burner drive and a dvd drive. The board has SIS 760GX &
SIS 965L chipset. Roderick Klein was so nice to send me a beta of
121. It goes farther in the install this time, but stops at this
error:"\ecs\boot\usbresmg.sys specified in the device statement of
line 92 of the config.sys file does not contain a valid device driver
or file system, driver line is ignored" And thenit just stays there.
I really want to get this onto this machine. The cpu is a Semperon
2800, not a "64" Tjis has built in sound and 10/100.Please Help me ,
If possible.
Roger P. Stevens I have been using OS2 since 1993. My Warp 4 fails
also. Thanks in advance.
