Hi Nancy,

RH> They're saying snow in the NC mountains in the next few days; we will
RH> have a couple of nights down in the mid 30s. Also saw that the north
RH> east is getting some weather--some from the latest system we had, some
 RH> coming across the lakes.

NB> We had just a little measurable snow.... and then really warm temps...
NB> and now are back to more seasonable temps, and some rain... it's April
 NB> after all... ;)

Rachel had some also, my brother had ice (in the Catskills). Deborah had
temps of near 100, ours were upper 70s/low 80s. We had the best of it
all. (G)

NB> RH>> They were actually cut out as they were all below the gum line.
NB> There RH>> was no way they were going to come thru as they were all
NB> in sideways. RH>> Basic soup (and things like that) were the easiest
NB> to eat for a while. NB>> Ouch.... I guess so...!

RH> The oral surgeon that did the job figured it was best to do it all at
RH> once. Our insurance covered all but his fee which he let us budget
RH> payback over a year, no interest. It also didn't cover the soups and
RH> other soft foods I survived on for a while until the mouth had healed
RH> but, didn't expect that coverage either.

NB> Nope, food isn't covered (except for that liquid nutritional stuff
NB> that goes into PEG tubes)....

Stuff that you're just as well off not eating or drinking as is. A
friend gave me a few bottles of Boost a while ago (cleaning out her
fridge). It may give you proper nutrition but the taste is very
forgettable. (G)

NB> NB>> Unless you are sharing it with a large group, and then each
NB> NB>> gets just a taste of each... ;) Probably couldn't eat them
NB> NB>> all by yourselves in one sitting after all... ;)

RH> Order several dishes and still probably have leftovers for people to
RH> take home. When we get something from the local Chinese place, it is
RH> enough for 2 meals for the 2 of us. The Chinese place in Wyoming was
RH> like that too--with 2 egg rolls, it averages about $16. to $18. so we
 RH> spend $4. to $4.50 per meal--not bad, overall.

NB> Our rule of thumb has been to order one dish for the two of us (unless
NB> we either want leftovers, or know in advance that something will be
NB> more scant than most entrees), and to otherwise order 2 entrees for
 NB> every 3
NB> people... that usually works out pretty evenly, and only once in a
NB> while do we end up with extras.... :)

Lately when it's just been the 2 of us (most of the time, it is just
that) we've ordered one dish and a couple of egg rolls. Egg rolls are
then eaten with the first go round, there's plenty of entree left for
another meal. Hardest part is deciding what to share. (G)
