Normally "practicing" means putting into practice what one is
trained to do as an expert.  I take it you do not consider
yourself to be an expert?

A pleasant enough belief I suppose. I look forward to seeing my

The 'distinction' is to know both good and evil. Animals have
no such concept they must wrestle with. Pets will bite the hand
that feeds them and come back tomorrow expecting to be fed.

I've always been aware it's intent was sarcasm. I was referring
to the way in which it was being used in that paragraph, not
it's dictionary definition. ;-)
