Especially if you have plastic water pipe! If you have metal, (copper or
galvanized) pipe it isn't so bad, but even so, you should ALSO, (not
instead of), use at least one long ground rod. This should be bonded to
the electrical neutral, the cold (!) water pipe, the antenna mast, (unless
it has it's own ground rod(s), and anything else that needs grounding.
The shield of the co-ax must be grounded, (National Electric Code), and
you should also use a lightning arrestor in the coax. (But disconnect
and ground it during thunderstorms anyway).
