You are probably correct that the NFB has no official intention of expanding 
its activities into Canada, but the National Federation of the Blind, 
Advocates for Equality certaqinly makes no bone about it desire to sset up a 
similar organizatin in Canada.
     I did ask Paul Gabias just how such an organization wuld work, given 
that many of the isues we deal with concern our provincial governments and 
not the national government.  He was abolutely unavble to anwer uch a 
quetion.  In addition, when I asked him whether hi organization would repecr 
the fact that Canada has two official language, he wa again unable to anwer.
     The organization he wants to create will not come about until he can 
answer these quetions.
     Likewise, other groups in Canada will certanly be prepareed to look at 
wht the NFB ha accomplihed, but AQmerican can never be allowed to dictate 
policy to us.
     I am  more than prepared to do what I can to facilitate co-operation 
among all of us, becaue we all want the ame thing.
