This is an Oklahoma story, but it works for Florida as well, since they
have the Bermuda grass there, too.
When I first became pastor at the Lutheran church in Okmulgee I saw the
front yard at the parsonage and decided I'd like a nice lawn.  My dad in
Wyoming always had a great-looking lawn, so why not.  So I pulled up a
big, long, stringy weed, brought it next door to the church, and asked
some older gentlemen, "How do I get rid of this?"  They  l a u g h e d!
"You don't want to get rid of THAT!  That's your LAWN!!"
