subject: BNC replacement

-> Is there something out there that will allow me to replace the BNC
-> connector on the body of my ICOM handheld radio with a screw-thread
-> receptical. I am getting tired of replacing BNC connectors,
-> resoldering them, etc... I am pretty much looking for something
-> that is like many of the better commercial radios out there today
-> (Motorola, GE, etc...) that uses a screw-thread connector to the
-> antenna instead of the BNC connector.
Problem than would be where do you get the Antennas? Replacing the BNC
on them is somewhat impractical. BUT Top Quality BNC's, Not RS JUNK,
will last a long time if taken care of. Yuo of course casn';t be swining
arround the handheld by the antenna though.
