->   Speaking of windmill starts, I recall hearing about a
-> jet fighter getting stranded at a base that didn't have
-> any starters for his aircraft. He got one of the other
-> base jets in front of his, tail to nose, and ran it up until
-> the thing got to the correct RPM, and got it started.
I heard that was SOP in the early jet days.  Always wondered if it were
an urban legend.
