Phil,

I am not an expert at electrical circuits, but I have a question about
using ground rods as you described. I have read that it is bad practice
to ground a buildings electrical circuits at more than one place,
preferably at the service entrance. If you have several ground rods you
could create "ground circuits" in which the various grounding points
might be at different potential relative to each other. I also live in
an old house in which only the kitchen and bathrooms have grounded
circuits. I had driven in some ground rods, but thought better and had
an electrician install a separate feed for my computers.
