Well, I just pulled out my 12 green pepper plants for the season. As
some might remember, I experimented with putting matches around the
roots of six of the plants when I planted them in May.
My conclusion is that it made no difference in plant size, size of
peppers, or amount of peppers. These were California Wonders.
I got plenty, however. I had all I needed for winter chili and pizza,
and at least one dinner per month of stuffed peppers. I gave more than
this away to others as well.
I think I'll try it again next year "just because" as my mother-in-law
swore it made a big difference for her.
Did anyone else try it, and if so, what were the results??
