POP3 will stop the traffic dead untill it's polled for so 30 seconds
slowdown's not a big issue.  those with a SMTP feed should know better.

if you detect a virus/worm/trojan coming in and stop it hitting your users
_you_ don't have to provide the bandwidth to spread it further.

don't promise to scan thair email for malware.

Name the software you use, and the config files, use it, and don't promise
any results. also warn "this service may change, fail, or cease without
notice"

you should be pretty safe then.
